Identification and mapping of eastern filbert blight resistance QTL in european hazelnut using ddRADseq

European hazelnut (Cornus avellana L.) is an economically important nut producing species. Production in the eastern US is currently non-existent due to the presence of eastern filbert blight (EFB) caused by Anisogramma anomala [Peck] E. Muller. The objectives of this study were to develop a genetic linkage map using double digestion restricted site associated DNA sequencing (ddRADseq) and identify QTL markers associated with EFB resistance from a resistant selection from southern Russia.
