WMS Sentinel2 Germany

This representation service is used to provide Sentinel2 satellite images for the Federal Republic of Germany.
This service enables users to integrate preprocessed and processed remote sensing information from the Copernicus Earth Observation Programme (Sentinel-2, L1C and L2A), for the Federal Republic of Germany, into existing technical procedures. The mosaic has a soil resolution of 10 m. Three composites of five bands (Sentinel-2 bands: 2, 3, 4, 5 and 8 (R, G, B, Red Edge and NIR) as well as an overview layer for the input image data are offered. The original resolution of channel 5 was calculated using a resampling method from 20 m to 10 m. The cloud cover for the mosaic is less than 3 % over the entire area.

This service supports time queries according to the OGC Best Practice for using Web Map Services with Time-Dependent Data (WMS-T). The request parameter TIME can specifically display a specific annual balance. The current status is displayed without specifying the TIME parameter. The date format for TIME is yyyy. For example, a query with TIME=2018 provides image data for 2018.
A time manager can be used to integrate into a GIS or the TIME parameter plus value can be specified directly in the URL of the service.
