Reproducible Research Platform (RRP) project including support for LaTeX for writing publications or reports

Overview

This RRP project repository demonstrates how to work with LaTeX in combination with Overleaf for efficent and collaborative work on manuscripts.

The main outcome of this example is:

Example Overleaf project synced with RRP

Features

Integration with RRP and openBIS ELN-LIMS: Mounts data from the RDMS openBIS in RRP for direct use in Jupyter.

Overleaf: Collaborative online LaTeX with direct integration to submit to archives and journals.

Installation

Prerequisites

Local Docker installation.

Steps

Download and extract the .zip file

Run the play script for your operating system

Linux / macOS: play

Windows: play.bat or play.ps1

Workflow Overview

New Overleaf project: A new Overleaf project is added as git submodule to this repository e.g. from GitHub (demo called test_github)

Manuscript editing: In RRP the mannuscript (.tex) file can be edited as long as necessary.

Collaborative editing and submission: Push changes to the manuscript repository to e.g. finalize it collaboratively on Overleaf and submit to an archive/journal.
