This dataset contains detailed sales data of maternity apparel products (including maternity tops, dresses, pants, bras, underwear, loungewear, sun-protective clothing, sportswear, socks, and hats) across all EU member states, covering sales destinations, clothing styles, product models, and specific sales metrics. By analyzing the foreign trade stability coefficient and stability level of this EU sales dataset for maternity apparel foreign trade business, foreign trade practitioners and trading companies can evaluate the foreign trade sales performance of the products, identify the peak and off-peak seasons of such products based on historical data, and reasonably arrange marketing activities and staffing arrangements. They can also clearly grasp the size of the target market and its changing trends, providing data support for formulating market entry strategies and long-term development plans. Moreover, this dataset can be used to understand and analyze the export data of peer products, measure one's own market competitiveness, optimize and adjust corporate strategies, revise sales channel layouts, and develop more precise marketing strategies.
1. Data Collection: The EU sales data of maternity apparel foreign trade business from 2022 to 2023 were collected from the company's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. By establishing user portraits of historical foreign trade customers, we formulated tags for regional users to locate the sales status of regional foreign trade businesses.
2. Data Calculation: First, sensitive information is encrypted, and the raw data are processed, desensitized, screened, statistically analyzed. The total annual export value is calculated, and the export value of each of the four quarters per year, quarterly average export value, and quarterly export value variance are analyzed. The foreign trade stability coefficient is calculated as: Foreign Trade Stability Coefficient = Quarterly Export Value Variance / Quarterly Average Export Value, where the quarterly export value variance refers to the average of the squared differences between the export value of each quarter and the overall quarterly average export value.
3. Stability Level Evaluation: The foreign trade stability level of maternity apparel exported to a specific EU country is evaluated using the calculated foreign trade stability coefficient, which is classified into three categories:
- Unstable: Foreign Trade Stability Coefficient ≥ 0.5;
- Moderately Stable: 0.3 ≤ Foreign Trade Stability Coefficient < 0.5;
- Stable: Foreign Trade Stability Coefficient ≤ 0.3.
