Transcription profiling of mouse heart ventricular tissue from SRp38(-/-) and wild type embryos

The majority of SRp38 homozygous mutants survived only until E15.5 and displayed multiple cardiac defects. To identify genes regulated by SRp38 that might be responsible for the abnormalities in the SRp38(-/-) heart, we performed microarray analysis using ventricular RNAs extracted from SRp38(-/-) and wild-type embryos E14.5.
绝大多数SRp38纯合突变体仅能存活至胚胎第15.5天(E15.5),并呈现多种心脏发育缺陷。为了鉴定受SRp38调控、且可能介导SRp38(-/-)胚胎心脏异常的靶基因,本研究采用从胚胎第14.5天(E14.5)的SRp38(-/-)及野生型(wild-type)胚胎心室中提取的RNA,开展了基因芯片分析(microarray analysis)。
