Comparative genomics within the entomopathogenic fungal genus Metarhizium. Metarhizium spp.

Metarhizium is a genus of fungi that can infect insects and colonize plant roots. The genus exhibits a great genotypic variability between its species, potentially linked to adaptions to different habitats. However, much of the current knowledge about genomic variation within Metarhizium species are based on studies of a limited number of isolates. The present study expands the information about the diversification of genomes representing three species of the genus Metarhizium.
