TsoKar brakish water lake was located at geographical northern eastern region of Himalaya, Ladakh region, J&K India. pks gene diversity of this lake was analyzed using Ion Torrent platform of NGS technology. The TsoKar metagenome is very rich with novel sequences affiliated to unclassified and unidentified lineages, suggesting the potential source for novel uncultivable microbial species and their products.
