A Decade with VAMDC: Results and Ambitions

The paper is an overview of the current status of the VAMDC e-infrastructure that is addressed through the description of the latest updates of the VAMDC connected (or to be connected) databases, through an update on the latest technological developments within the infrastructure, through a visibility on some application tools that make use of the VAMDC e-infrastructure. We analyse the past and current impact of the VAMDC initiative not only in the field of atomic and molecular physics, but also in the field of data management at the international level. Finally we address various issues not currently solved by VAMDC, but that will be investigated in the future.
