RGB (red, green, and blue) and RGB+NIR (red, green, blue, and near-infrared) images of the plant canopy taken from an automated camera on the top of each NEON tower. Images are collected and transmitted every 30 minutes to the PhenoCam Network following established protocols. The PhenoCam Network processes these images and produces derived data products related to vegetation indices (e.g., green chromatic coordinate) and phenological transition dates.
