Loss of Hearing and Depression Among the Elderly, 1989

This project has focused on the connections between impaired hearing, social interaction and psychologicalstrains among the elderly. The project has a comparative design where groups without hearing impairment and with hearing impairment are compared with regards to interaction patterns on various levels and indications of psychological strains. The survey is based on a questionnaire among 435 elderly. It has also been carried through hearing measurements of smaller, partial sample. The documentation of the datasets is incomplete.
