Body image, social problem solving, and psychological distress in postoperative breast cancer survivors

Data examining the relationships among body image, social problem solving, and psychological distress following breast surgery. 88 women aged 29 to 88 (M= 59.51, SD = 11.93) were recruited from a specialty oncology clinic in the Northeastern United States, at an average of 1.9 years after breast surgery. Participants completed self-report inventories of body image disturbance and social problem solving orientation and style, as well as a measure of depression and anxiety.
