Genome assembly of five Staphylococcus aureus strains. Staphylococcus aureus subsp. aureus COL strain:MM25

In this study, we describe the sequencing and assembly of five methicillin resistant S aureus strains. Four strains were hospital acquired clinically isolated from a hospital in southern New Mexico. One strain is heteroresistant vancomycin (hVISA) strain. Data from this study will be used for downstream analysis to elucidate the mechanism of vancomycin resistance in S aureus.
