资源简介:
The development of speaking skills is a central goal in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) instruction. Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) has emerged as a dominant approach aimed at improving learners’ communicative competence through interaction and meaningful language use. This study examines the effectiveness of CLT in enhancing speaking skills, focusing on fluency, accuracy, and learner confidence. The paper analyzes the principles of CLT, its classroom implementation, and its impact on oral communication. The findings indicate that CLT significantly improves learners’ speaking abilities by promoting authentic communication and active participation. However, challenges such as limited teacher training and contextual constraints may affect its effectiveness. Overall, CLT remains a highly beneficial approach for developing speaking skills in EFL contexts.
