Bovine parainfluenza virus type 3 V protein promotes viral replication through enhancing autophagy

We found that the V protein significantly promotes viral replication. To further elucidate the mechanism of the V protein regulating BPIV3 function, a BPIV3 mutant with the V protein deleted (BPIV3-VS) was generated based on the wild-type BPIV3/SX/2021 strain (BPIV3-WT) by reverse genetics system. In addition, we found that the V protein regulates the autophagy signal pathway using transcriptome sequencing analysis.
