Nigeria: trends, inequalities, and determinants in pooled analyses of the 2018 and 2023–24 Demographic and Health Surveys. It provides a reuse-ready derived analytic dataset and a machine-readable data dictionary that support independent verification of headline estimates on BCG timeliness in Nigerian children. Scope and contents.– analytic_derived_only.dta (Stata) and analytic_derived_only.csv (CSV): derived variables only (no direct identifiers).– data_dictionary.csv: variable names, brief labels/definitions, types, and missingness.– README.md: software environments typically used to reproduce analyses from the derived data (no code is deposited).– LICENSE.txt: CC BY 4.0. Key variables. Time-to-event scaffolding (t90_days, event90, and on-time indicators on7, on14, on28); survey design (v005/weight, v022/v023 strata, v021 PSU); equity/context (wealth5, urban); and selected service-contact covariates (e.g., skilled birth attendance) as present in the analytic file. Provenance and ethics. The derived dataset was constructed from the Nigeria DHS 2018 and 2023–24 child cohorts under an approved DHS Program data-use agreement. DHS microdata are anonymised and governed by the DHS Program’s terms; raw microdata are not redistributed here. Reuse guidance. The dataset supports design-consistent estimation and descriptive reproduction of the manuscript’s central estimands (e.g., on-time BCG ≤7/≤14/≤28 days). Survival display counts (numbers at risk under KM plots) are unweighted; estimates and CIs should use the complex survey design. Interval-censoring (Turnbull) requires specialised routines not provided here. Licence and access. Released under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0).
