收藏资源简介:
We compile data from a global survey including 200 natural ecosystems from five climate zones, covering vegetation types of forests, grasslands, and shrublands to investigate how soil microbiomes (i.e., key functional genes and their affiliated metabolic pathways, as well as gene modules encoding carbohydrates hydrolysis) adapt to resource quantity (i.e., soil elemental stocks and pools including multiple C, N and P forms) and stoichiometry (soil total C:N, N:P and C:P) in terrestrial ecosystems at a global scale. Perennial vascular plant cover and productivity were quantified at each sampling site as a measure of vegetation functional characteristics. Information on the functioning of soil microbiomes was characterized by metagenomic sequencing of the extracted soil DNA.
