Mechanistic insights into Pseudomonas aeruginosa induced pneumonia: cross talk between gut lung microbiota and host metabolomics

This study demonstrated that P. aeruginosa disrupted pulmonary and intestinal microbial communities, and metabolic homeostasis through the lung-gut axis. These findings open a new avenue for novel microbiome- and metabolome-based diagnostic approaches and targeted therapeutic strategies.
