Gloeobacter morelensis MG652769 isolate:MG652769 Genome sequencing

This is a complete genome sequence of the third member of the cyanobacteria genus Gloeobacter with proposed name of Gloeobacter morelosensis. There are currently only two complete genome sequences of Gloeobacter and this additional member will help us understand the evolution of this deeply-branching cyanobacterium and also advance our understanding of the origin of oxygenic photosynthesis.
