Mortierella elongata mRNA Illumina Sequencing

Mortierella elongata is a ubiquitious filamentous fungus. It is most often categorized as a soil saprobe, however recent evidence suggests its ecological functions may be more diverse. Here, gene expression was measured in three growth conditions and compared to a relatively well-studied relative used extensively in industry, Umbelopsis isabellina.
