This study of families (broken and whole) is a continuation of a community interview survey on different aspects of the quality of life in Townsville. Variables include choice of marital partner, socialisation of children, family interaction in various activities, attitude towards Casino, alcohol drinking patterns, contribution toward household chores, involvement in family decision-making, attitude towards family activities, interaction with family members, response in family crises, outlook on life and on the family, and family welfare services. Other variables include age, sex, marital status, details of previous marriage, education, occupation and industry, employment status, attitudes to work, income (each source), country of birth, residence in Townsville/Australia, ownership of home, relatives in Townsville, religious denomination and religiosity, whether an Australian citizen, politically Labor or non-Labor, whether on electoral rolls, household composition, race of respondent and condition of dwelling.
