Yangtze River Basin Lake Dynamics (YLD) dataset

The Yangtze River Basin Lake Dynamics (YLD) dataset, developed by integrating a novel multi-source satellite altimetry fusion algorithm with long-term optical remote sensing data, provides detailed natural lake dynamics records for the Yangtze River Basin (YRB) from 1990 to 2023. The dataset contains enhanced water level records for 883 lakes (>99% of total lake area) and reconstructed long-term monthly time series for 440 lakes (>90% of total lake capacity), with consistent records of lake area, water level, and water storage variations.
