Paper: Production of Biodiesel from Spent Earth Palm Oil and Machine Learning based Characterisation of Ternary Blends The research work produces and characterizes ternary blended biofuels conprising of biodiesel, n-butanol and diesel. The biodiesel is derived from waste feedstock SEPO. The raw SEPO is subjected to acid catalyzed esterification followed by base catalyzed transesterification. The resultant product is purified. Nine blends of different biodiesel and butanol blend rations were prepared and experimentally characterized for physicochemical properties such as kinematic viscosity, calorific value, density, flash and fire points. Machine learning models were developed and traned on the experimental data of the characteristics of the nine blends and used to predict these key physicochemical properties for intermediate blends.
