Estimates of Gel and Condom Use at Follow-Up by Treatment Groups^*.

*For each participant and variable of interest (e.g., percentage of vaginal acts where study gel was used in the last 7 days prior to the follow-up visit), we first calculated the participant's mean value of the variable of interest across all of their follow-up visits. (Follow-up visits where women reported a missing number of vaginal sex acts in the last 7 days are excluded from the calculation of a participant's mean value.) The median values of the distributions of these mean values were then obtained for each treatment group. **Study gel when a condom is not used refers to the percentage of condom-free sex acts where gel was used.
