Conserved Domain Database

The Conserved Domain Database (CDD) brings together several collections of multiple sequence alignments representing conserved domains, including NCBI-curated domains, which use 3D-structure information to explicitly to define domain boundaries and provide insights into sequence/structure/function relationships, as well as domain models imported from a number of external source databases (Pfam, SMART, COG, NCBI Protein Clusters, TIGRFAM, NCBIfam). NCBI-curated models are organized hierarchically into families, sub- and super-families, and come with annotation of functional sites.保守结构域数据库（Conserved Domain Database，CDD）整合了多组代表保守结构域的多序列比对集合，其中包含由NCBI人工审编的结构域模型——此类模型借助三维结构信息明确定义结构域边界，并阐明序列、结构与功能之间的关联——同时还收录了从多个外部源数据库（Pfam、SMART、COG、NCBI蛋白质簇、TIGRFAM、NCBIfam）导入的结构域模型。由NCBI审编的模型按层级划分为家族、亚家族与超家族，并附带功能位点注释。
