This series, arranged in two sequences (chronological and alphabetical), contains correspondence and reports regarding inspections of private buildings. Private buildings refers to private houses and buildings which were being leased or used as places of business. The files include reports on leased buildings occupied by government departments, companies, reception centres and private nursing homes. Files concerning inspections from 1965 can be found in series 14, Reports of building inspections, c.1965-1985.(20/15183-220). 38 boxes.
