The research objective was to study how histone HTkC from <em>Thermococcus kodakarensis</em> binds and structures DNA. We have studied this with electrophoretic mobility shift assays, micrococcal nuclease assays, ligase-mediated circularisation, growth curves, RNA-seq, tethered particle motion (TPM), X-ray crystallography, and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. This dataset contains TPM data, raw gel images, MD data, analysed RNA-seq data, growth curve data, CD spectroscopy data, SEC-MALS data, MD trajectories, MD movies, and source code for the analysis of data and generation of figures.
