Natural sites classified in Burgundy-Franche-Comté region

Perimeters of natural sites classified according to the law of 2 May 1930. The objectives of natural sites are the conservation or preservation of natural or built spaces of particular interest according to the criteria laid down by law (artistic, historical, scientific, legendary or picturesque). Sites can be registered or classified. The classification provides enhanced protection in comparison with the inscription, by prohibiting, unless specifically authorised, the execution of any work aimed at modifying the appearance of the site. The initiative to launch the procedure for the classification of a site lies either with the minister, the regional directorates for the environment or the departmental commissions of sites, perspectives and landscapes. The procedure depends on the nature of the owners concerned.依据1930年5月2日法令完成定级的自然保护地边界范围。此类自然保护地的设立目标，是依照法定评判标准（涵盖艺术、历史、科学、人文传奇及景观美学价值），对具备特殊价值的自然空间与人工建成空间实施保护与留存。保护地可划分为登记备案类与定级保护类两类。相较于登记备案类保护地，定级保护类可获得更高等级的保护：除非获得专项许可，严禁开展任何旨在改变保护地外观风貌的工程作业。发起保护地定级程序的倡议主体，可为主管部长、环境区域主管机构，或是省一级的保护地、景观与风貌委员会。具体定级流程需根据相关产权所有者的属性予以确定。
