These data files are generated from the MATLAB program described in, "A small PAM optimises target recognition in the CRISPR-Cas immune system."<br>In Model 1, individual mismatches were randomly placed throughout the target DNA sequence according to the specified mutation rates. In Model 2, the specified numbers of mismatches were generated consecutively and tested along all sequence positions.<br>The deposited files contain the output from 10,000 iterations of each model for variables: Cleave (logic values of when cleavage did or did not occur), pCleave (probability of cleavage from state 1), tCleave (time from state 1 to M when cleavage occurred), tDissociate (time from state 1 to 0 when cleavage did not occur), Mismatches (logic values of whether there is a mismatch or not at each nucleotide location), kForward (forward rates from each state), kReverse (reverse rates from each state), and p (probability of cleavage from each state).<br>
