In plants and green algae, the photosynthetic light-harvesting complex is an integral membrane protein encoded by the nuclear genome. To elucidate the role of Lhc in energy regulation to the photoreaction centers, the expression of the Lhc proteins in response to the optical environment will be studied at the transcriptome level.
