资源简介:
Summary We measured sap flow of mountain pine (Pinus mugo) and co-occurring green alder (Alnus alnobetula) within the treeline ecotone on Mt. Patscherkofel (2246 m a.s.l.; Tyrol, Austria; 47°12’31” N, 11°27’38” E) on a south facing steep slope (35 °) in 2130 m a.s.l. throughout the growing season 2024 (DOY 176–268). The area is underlain by gneiss and schist, and soils are classified as Haplic Podzols, a type typical of the Central Tyrolean Alps. Three mature even-aged A. alnobetula and six P. mugo stems were selected in the study. Shrubs were 21 ± 8 years old with canopy heights of 140–150 cm. Stem diameter at the sensor installation height ranged from 28 to 67 mm. Sap flow density was monitored by means of the heat dissipation approach. The data file (data_environm_sapflow.xlsx) contains sap flow density data of all samples and environmental records during the study period 2024 at the study plot.
