This dataset supports a study on habitat suitability modeling for five freshwater species in the Halda River, Bangladesh, using the MaxEnt model. The data includes species presence data collected via GPS, environmental variables such as hydrological and bioclimatic factors, and processed model outputs. The purpose of this dataset is to inform conservation efforts by providing detailed spatial insights into habitat distribution and overlap for species like <i>Hypophthalmichthys molitrix</i> (Silver Carp), <i>Labeo calbasu </i>(Kalibaush), <i>Platanista gangetica</i> (Ganges River Dolphin), <i>Rasbora rasbora</i> (Swamp Barb), and<i> Labeo rohita</i> (Rui).
