A dataset on public financial institutions and their climate focus

This is a comprehensive dataset comprising various types of public financial institutions (PFIs) existing in different financial systems. Using textual analysis, we evaluate PFIs’ climate focus, offering a comparable climate focus index for extensive samples and filling the gap of missing consistent and transparent climate finance data for research. This dataset aims to catalyse more empirical research on the operations, performance, and impacts of PFIs in addressing climate change, enhancing our understanding of these significant investors and optimising their potential.
