Phenology and growth data across eight temperate tree and shrub species exposed to late spring freezes coupled with warming winters

Using saplings in growth chamber and greenhouse conditions, we observed phenology and growth across eight tree and shrub species from eastern North American forests. We assessed the effects late spring freezes and reduced over-winter chilling on sapling phenology, growth and tissue traits from budburst through complete budset.
