收藏资源简介:
This dataset supports the research on “A Community with a Shared Future for Mankind”. It comprises two self-built, parallel corpora designed for a comparative critical discourse analysis (CDA) of how this Chinese political concept is represented across distinct media ecosystems. The dataset includes: CNC Corpus (Chinese News Corpus): A collection of Chinese-language news texts (e.g., from Xinhua, People’s Daily) that actively promote and discuss the concept of “A Community with a Shared Future for Mankind” (人类命运共同体). Texts are focused on policy discourse, diplomatic events, and official narratives. WNC Corpus (Western News Corpus): A collection of English-language news texts (e.g., from Reuters, The New York Times, BBC) that report on or comment on the same concept. This corpus captures the reception, interpretation, and framing of the concept within predominant Western media outlets. Derived Analysis Files: collocate(CNC).txt & collocate(WNC).txt: Text files listing significant collocates for the core concept within each corpus, revealing its typical lexical environment. Keyword_results(WNC).xlsx & keywords_result(CNC).xlsx: Excel files containing detailed keyword analysis results (e.g., keyness scores, frequency comparisons), highlighting the salient thematic vocabulary unique to each corpus.
