2º Grande Inquérito sobre Sustentabilidade em Portugal, 2019

Two years after its first edition, the Second Large Survey on Sustainability addresses some of the topics of the previous edition, yet emphasizing in this second edition both the topic of food and the complex meanings of current life conditions framed by strong ambivalences in the aftermath of the 2008 crisis and its consequences. Given the growing recognition of food as a 'wicked problem' in the context of sustainability, be it on a global scale, or particularly on a national scale, this survey aims to make a significant contribution to a broad debate among the scientific community on an issue already widely recognized for its public relevance. Thus, the Second Large Survey on Sustainability has the following objectives: i) to learn more about the environmental and food representations and practices of the Portuguese population, taking into account the dimensions encompassed by the concept of sustainable development; (ii) to identify areas where information, awareness and mobilization actions are a priority; (iii) to share important information with several civil society partners to define better strategies for action towards sustainable development in Portugal.
