Profiling allele-biased genes in the cynomolgus-rhesus hybrid macaque brains

Genomic imprinting can cause allele-specific expression (ASE), which refers to the preferential expression of one allele. Here, we generated hybrid monkeys by crossing rhesus and cynomolgus monkeys and developed a framework to characterize their allele-specific gene expression patterns based on the parental genomes.
