The Combination to Application (C2A) Dataset was co-developed by Tokyo Institute of Technology and Honda Research Institute Japan Co., Ltd., aiming to enhance human detection capabilities of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in disaster scenarios. This dataset generates a complex image collection simulating real search and rescue operations by combining human pose images with disaster scene backgrounds. It includes various disaster types and multiple human postures such as bending, kneeling-sitting, lying down, and others, to train machine learning models for recognition under partial occlusion conditions. Advanced image processing technologies were adopted during its development to ensure the dataset authentically reflects the complexity of real disaster scenarios. This dataset is mainly applied to search and rescue drone operations to improve the accuracy and efficiency of disaster response.
