Transcriptome of Oryctes rhinoceros (Iso-Seq PacBio)

In the aim of updating the transcriptome of the coconut/palm pest Oryctes rhinoceros, this project was taken up to stay current with a recent and novel transcriptomics technology named Single Molecule Real-Time (SMRT) in PacBio sequencing platform (sequel II-IsoSeq). Being a full-length sequencing, this project provides a new perspective to the transcripts involved in the system of O. rhinoceros. The pooled RNA of fat bodies (visceral, peripheral and hind-gut associated), foregut, midgut and hindgut from the larvae were used for de novo transcriptomics.
