Unveiling the nature of the Period evolution of XTE J180-197
收藏资源简介:
This program is aimed at obtaining a phase coherent time solution for the periodevolution of XTE J1810197, and concluding the successful XMM monitoring of thisunique Anomalous Xray Pulsar (AXP).This source was identified as the firsttransient AXP in 2003.The transient Xray behavior of this source (outburstflux increase of a factor 100) allowed us to monitor his time properties for along time (5 yrs 9 obs.).In 2006 this source was also found to be a bright andhighly polarized transient radio pulsar, a unique property among both AXPs andradio pulsars (RPs).The last pointings we requested are aimed at studying histime evolution, and checking the presence of a precession. This could be theunique Magnetar and one of the very few (3) neutron stars showing a precession period. truncated!, Please see actual data for full text [truncated!, Please see actual data for full text]
