The Human Life Table Database (HLD) is a population life table database that contains over 15,000 life tables from 142 countries and regions. As part of the Human Mortality Database (HMD) project, it was co-established by the Department of Demography at the University of California, Berkeley, and the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research in Germany, and primarily provides quantitative data on population mortality patterns published by national official statistical agencies.
