Need for Privacy and Personality (SUF edition)

Full edition for scientific use. In this dataset, we collected measures of need for privacy and personality. The aim was to determine how personality can predict and explain why specific people need privacy. The measures of privacy were based on existing scales; some items were developed anew; and some items were adapted. Personality was measured using the HEXACO Personality Inventory. The data consist of 1598 respondents from the United States. The sample was quota sampled in terms of age, gender, and ethnicity. The data were collected by Prolific.供科研使用的完整版数据集。本数据集收录了隐私需求与人格特质的测量数据，旨在探究人格特质如何预测并解释特定个体产生隐私需求的原因。隐私需求测量基于现有量表编制，部分条目为全新开发，另有部分条目经改编修订；人格特质测量采用HEXACO人格问卷（HEXACO Personality Inventory）。本次数据集共包含来自美国的1598名受访者，样本按年龄、性别与种族实施配额抽样，数据收集工作由Prolific平台完成。
