Table gives the location of leaf and stem water sample collection from the M.I.B.A. network [23], mean annual temperature (M.A.T.) and months sampled. Note that the months sampled in colder habitats are usually considered the months with the greatest photosynthetic activity. Locations with multi-year sampling might have missing months during any one year, but all the months of the year were sampled at least once.
