This dataset provides data reference for enterprises, public institutions and individuals in the Taizhou mold industry when selecting patent agencies, so as to facilitate the screening of higher-quality patent agencies, based on the patent authorization rate and patent agency service retention rate of each agency serving Taizhou mold industry-related patents.

1. Data Collection: Relevant patent information applied by enterprises, public institutions and individuals in the Taizhou mold industry is collected via third-party intellectual property retrieval websites, using information such as region, IPC classification number of patents, patent names and patent agencies.

2. Data Processing: The collected raw data is processed, cleaned and classified by removing duplicate and missing data.

3. Data Calculation: Based on the processed data, the total number of Taizhou mold industry-related patents served by each agency in the region, the number of closed patents (i.e., the number of patents not under examination) and the number of authorized patents are obtained. Then, the patent authorization rate, the number of patents with unchanged agency and the patent agency service retention rate are calculated as follows:
- The patent authorization rate of each agency = Number of authorized patents / Number of closed patents;
- The number of patents with unchanged agency is counted by comparing whether the original patent agency and the current patent agency are identical using the EXACT function, where a match indicates no agency change;
- The patent agency service retention rate of each agency = Number of patents with unchanged agency / Total number of patents.

4.
