A biobank of patient-derived glioma organoids
收藏资源简介:
Gliomas represent the most lethal malignant tumors affecting the central nervous system. Current therapeutic strategies primarily involve maximal safe margin excision, followed by radiotherapy and temozolomide therapy, which remain pivotal in treatment. However, the lack of an effective tumor simulation model significantly limits the mechanistic understanding of glioma pathogenesis and impedes drug development. In this study, we successfully established a biobank of patient-derived glioma organoids spanning WHO grades 2 to 4. These organoids faithfully recapitulate the histological and molecular features of the primary tumors. This biobank serves as an invaluable platform for investigating the mechanisms underlying glioma development, identifying potential drug targets, accelerating the development of novel therapeutics, and ultimately improving patient outcomes.
