Geological mapping (1:25,000) of the western parts of the Asgard and Olympus Ranges, South Victoria Land

Geological mapping at a scale of 1:25,000 of the western parts of the Asgard and Olympus Ranges adjacent to Mt Fleming and Shapeless Mountain was completed. A total area of 950 km2 was mapped. Three stratigraphic sections were measured in the Weller Coal Measures around Mt Fleming - South Ridge, 190.6m, Mt Fleming, 30.7m and Cirque Basin, 101.38m. In the upper part of the Wright Valley a stratigraphic section was measured from the base to the top of the Taylor Group, a thickness of 732m.
