Through manual curation of more than 100,000 peer-reviewed published articles, the database records comprehensive metadata including cell marker information, tissue categories, cell identities, cancer-associated data and their original citation sources. CellMarker 2.0 provides a user-friendly interface for browsing, searching and downloading markers of specific cell types across various tissues, and supports the analysis and visualization of single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) data.
