However, despite the substantial market demand, the children's footwear sector faces prominent quality issues, among which excessive heavy metal content is a major concern. Heavy metals such as arsenic, lead and cadmium are involved. When their content exceeds standard limits, it will not only impair children's intellectual development, but also lead to heavy metal poisoning and even fatal outcomes. This dataset detects heavy metal concentrations in children's footwear to verify whether the produced shoes comply with qualified standards, protect children's physical health, and maintain the orderly operation of the children's footwear market. 1. Data Collection: Perform spot sampling on children's footwear manufactured by enterprises, and collect relevant raw data including sample serial number and sample name. 2. Data Testing: The heavy metals targeted in this testing are arsenic, lead and cadmium. The testing is conducted in strict accordance with QB/T 4340 to acquire corresponding test data. 3. Data Processing: Aggregate the obtained test data. According to the index provisions for heavy metal content specified in the national mandatory standard GB 30585-2014 "Technical Specifications for Safety of Children's Footwear", the heavy metal content in children's footwear shall not exceed 100 mg/kg. Compare the detected heavy metal concentrations of the sampled footwear with the national standard, and calculate the excess proportion of heavy metals, which is (detected heavy metal concentration - allowable heavy metal concentration) / allowable heavy metal concentration = excess proportion of heavy metals, to determine whether the children's footwear is safe and qualified. 4. Data Application: The heavy metal content in children's footwear directly impacts children's physical health. Through the detection of this dataset, enterprises can be prohibited from producing and selling "toxic children's footwear", thereby protecting children's legitimate rights and interests and promoting the sound development of the children's footwear market.
