# Data and Code for "GPM high-resolution observations reveal systematic underestimation and outward displacement of tropical cyclone maximum wave heights in ERA5 reanalysis" This repository contains the processed data and Python code used to generate all figures and statistics in the above paper. ## Files - `All_cyclone_points.csv` – Processed along‑track observations from GPM and ERA5. Each row corresponds to one GPM footprint within 300 km of a tropical cyclone center.- `summary_165.csv` – Summary statistics for each GPM overpass (165 tropical cyclones), including cyclone center, Rmax, maximum wave heights, radial offsets, and azimuthal information.- `plot_from_csv.py` – Python script to reproduce Figures 1–7 and the caption file `explain.txt` from the two CSV files. ## Requirements The script requires the following Python packages: - numpy- pandas- scipy- matplotlib- cartopy- seaborn You can install them using pip: ```bashpip install numpy pandas scipy matplotlib cartopy seaborn Usage Place All_cyclone_points.csv and summary_165.csv in the same directory as plot_from_csv.py. (Optional) Edit the DATA_DIR variable in the script if your CSV files are located elsewhere. Run the script:
