To identify new factors that form heterochromatin dense genome-wide profiles of the Hermes transposable element integration was generated in Schizosaccharomyces pombe, in WT cells and in cells containing the ura4+ reporter gene inserted at the outer repeat region of centromere1 (otr1::ura4+).
