This article examines the theoretical and pedagogical foundations of developing mathematical literacy in primary school students. The study focuses on enhancing students’ mathematical thinking, logical reasoning, problem-solving abilities, and the application of mathematical knowledge in practical situations. In addition, the effectiveness of modern pedagogical technologies, interactive methods, and digital learning tools is substantiated. The article also analyzes key factors influencing the development of mathematical literacy in primary education, identifies existing challenges, and proposes scientifically grounded solutions to overcome them
